主讲人简介:

Yingjie  Yang received the B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering  from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1987, 1990, and 1994,  respectively. He was awarded his PhD degree in computer science at  Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K., in 2008.

He  is currently a professor of computational intelligence in the Institute  of Artificial Intelligence at De Montfort University, Leicester, U.K.   He has published over 160 papers on grey systems, fuzzy sets, rough  sets, neural networks and their applications to civil engineering,  transportation and environmental engineering. His research interests  include the representation and modelling of various uncertainties and  the application of computational intelligence to engineering problems.

Prof.  Yang is a senior member of IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society, a  co-chair of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Grey Systems, the executive  president of the International Association on Grey Systems and  Uncertainty Analysis and a member of Rail Research UK Association. He is  serving as associate editor for 4 academic journals including IEEE  Transaction on Cybernetics.  He has served as a PC member for over 100  international conferences.

主要内容

Grey  data analysis primarily focuses on limited and poor data, and big data  technology takes big and complete data as its main target.  The two  models are relatively separate from each other. In this talk, we will  look at how we can apply grey models into big data analysis so as to  bring them together.  A conceptual framework in applying grey model to  data analytics is presented.
